1. Can you cope under pressure? Intensive driving courses are demanding, some driving schools describe them as fun, but they are hard work and you will need high level of concentrate for several hours a day.
2. You will have a lot to learn in short space of time.
3. Intensive driving courses are useful if you are restricted to learning during holidays from work.
4. Intensive driving courses can help you gain your full driving license much faster than having hourly lessons once or twice a week.
5. With hourly lessons a week apart it is easy to forget things, on intensive driving courses you will spend less time recapping the previous lesson.

The problems might you encounter.

3. What happens if test is failed?
Caution some driving schools claim to offer a guaranteed pass; this is a ploy just to get your attention and to encourage you to book with them. NO ONE can guarantee a pass. The actual driving test is carried out by a driving examiner from the DSA and they are completely independent from all driving schools, it up to you to pass on the day.
The preferred method of teaching by some intensive driving schools is to teach with more than one pupil in the driving school car at the same time, they will try to convince you that this is affective and that research has proven this. Sitting in the back of the car may help to a degree but you should not be expected to pay whilst some one else is in the driving seat. The main reason for teaching two or three pupils together is profit, having three pupils paying £20 each means the instructor is actually charging £60 an hour. I teach on a one to one basis unless you request driving lessons with a friend or family member.
Unlike residential Intensive Driving Schools or residential crash driving courses I come to you, which means you have your home surroundings to go back to at the end of your days training. This makes learning to drive cheaper and more relaxing with no expensive hotel bills to pay. I guarantee that you will be taught one to one, which means you will be behind the wheel the whole time giving you the best chance of learning all that is required and passing the test first time.
If you have read the above and think that an intensive driving course is right for you, then please give me a call on 05600836570 or 01709 815016 so we can have a chat about how best to help you. If you feel that an intensive driving course would be too much for you, then you may want to think about a semi intensive course. You would only drive for two to three hours a day, it takes longer to learn but is still faster then one lesson a week.
If you have driven before then a short course may be the ideal way to prepare for a driving test.
An assessment driving lesson is crucial, it will give you the chance to meet your instructor and try the car before you part with your driving course fee. It also gives use the chance to assess you’re driving and help you decide which course will suit you the most.
I have found that by doing an assessment lesson a month before your main course and a lesson each week in the run up to the course helps pupils cope with the pressure. Some pupils find it better doing the driving course a month before the driving test and a lesson a week up to the test helpful, the advantage of this is that you can have a few extra lessons if you need them.
